[04]FAQ

Frequently asked
questions.

What are RockX's responsibilities?

RockX sets up validators for the selected blockchain(s), manages the validator and admin keys, and ensures the validators run smoothly. We perform regular health checks and maintenance on the validator nodes, upgrade them whenever required, manage commissions on staking rewards, and distribute token rewards periodically.

What are the customer's responsibilities?

Prepare the suggested stake amount and your intended validator identity. We'll need your validator name, logo, the wallet address that receives staking rewards, a contact method, and optionally your website. Please make sure the reward wallet supports the token you will receive.

Who keeps the validator keys?

Two keys are involved in setting up a white-label validator: the validator key and the admin key, both held by RockX. The validator key controls the validator node and signs blocks. The admin key handles on-chain validator registration, links the admin address to the validator address, and configures validator identity and commission rate.

Where do rewards go?

Staking rewards go directly to the delegators' wallet addresses. In the white-label model, "delegators" means you (our customer) and your end users who stake tokens to the validator.

Can I change the commission rate whenever I want?

Yes. The commission can be adjusted at any time, within the limits of the blockchain's rules (usually below 10%). New commission rates may take some time to come into effect.

How do I benefit from running a validator through RockX?

We run a commission-sharing model that typically settles at the end of each quarter. A pre-agreed percentage of all staking rewards is transferred from RockX to you each quarter. This percentage is discussed before contract signing and written into the commercial agreement.
